“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone”
- Neale Donald Walsh

As humans, our comfort zone is our safety net. It is what we know, and what we try so hard to keep. In therapy, you are encouraged to step outside of your comfort zone, to see things differently, and decide whether you like what you see, or if the comfort zone is indeed a better option. Stepping out of your comfort zone is definitely the harder choice, the more uncomfortable choice, but it is the choice that starts the change process.

My passion is being able to assist people with safely stepping outside of their comfort zones and exploring new possibilities for their life. My role as a therapist, is to walk beside you in your process of change; not to place judgement or make changes for you. Change does take a lot of work, but having assistance from others makes change exciting, worthwhile, and long lasting. I am eager to assist you in your journey for the changes you want to make.
I have been working as a mental health and substance abuse counselor since 2016 and became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia in June 2020 after completing my 3,400-hour residency. Therapeutic interventions I utilize most often are combinations from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), person-centered, Solution Focused treatment, and Trauma-Informed treatment. Using a mixture of these modalities enables me to meet each individual I work with “where they are”. My goal is to create a treatment plan that works for you and my hope is to tailor clinical sessions to what each individual needs.
I have training and experience working with adolescents and adults who have Co-Occurring disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PSTD), Substance Use Disorders, Mood disorders, Impulse Control Disorders and Anxiety Disorders. I have a special interest in assisting first responders who may be looking for a safe therapeutic environment.
